Book Review: Rome + Klein by William Klein

Rome + Klein by William Klein

I love Rome, who doesn’t?

Rome + Klein is a two volume slipcased set, volume one is a commentary of Rome covering everything from citizens of rome to fashion. The second is a weighty volume of black and white photography covering the aforementioned.

The book is essentially a catalogue of Klein’s time in Rome while working on a Fellini film in 1956. If you have ever been to Rome then you will know how captivating it is so to see in through the eyes of Klein, back in the 50’s, is fascinating. There is a certain realness about his images which draw you in and transport you to that magnificent city.

This is a delightful addition to the coffee table.
