Hot on the tails of Wolf Hall, Bring up the bodies is yet another fab read. This time, in Bring up the bodies, we are following Thomas Cromwell as he continues to secure his position in the court of Henry VIII by bring Anne Boleyn to charge based on the rumours of her adultery and clearing the way for Jane Seymour.
This is an awesome historical read as we delve further into the dangerous world of Tudor England and the blessings and curses that come with being close to the king.
Once again I just couldn’t get enough of this book. I didn’t study the Tudors so Mantel serves as teacher as well as entertainer for me. Bring up the bodies has sparked a real interest for me and I just can’t get enough of historical novels and am already asking friends for recommendations of some other authors. So look out for some more reviews coming soon and in the mean time you can pick up Wolf Hall and Bring up the bodies here.
